Melt continues the sermon series on Gifts of The Holy Spirit.  His sermon this week is titled "Love and the Gift of Prophecy".

The NWT Health and Social Services Emergency Response Team has asked the Salvation Army, and in turn, all of the churches in Yellowknife to help with the Behchoko fire evacuees in Yellowknife. 

URGENT HELP is needed to sort the emergency clothing room opening at the Multiplex. Help is needed in many areas. The Salvation Army Emergeny & Diaster Canteens are being sent up from Edmonton to feed the evacuees, and help will be needed there.

If you have an hour or 2 to spare, please consider volunteering!  Contact Nicole Sok at our Outreach Ministry - sokfamily3@gmail.com - and let her know your availability.  She will be in touch as soon as there is a better idea of when and where they need assistance.

Outreach Ministry - Java for Jesus - will be at the 50/50 parking lot on Saturday (29th July) @8:00pm to hand out coffee and muffins, and engage with the citizens of the street. With the fire and the evacuees, we are expecting a much larger turnout than usual. Please come out and join us! 

We are looking for volunteers to support this Ministry either by coming out on Saturday night or baking muffins or cookies!  Nicole is needing help with the baking, especially with expectations of hugely increased numbers on Saturday.  Can you you help with baking?  Contact Nicole at sokfamily3@gmail.com asap!  Thank you!
