Nearly 20,000 people have been forced to flee their homes as several towns have been submerged. Farmers have been hard hit with thousands of animals lost to the encroaching waters. As temperatures drop across the province, many fear the consequences of broken gas lines and bare grocery shelves.
Faced with mudslides, highway closures, and disrupted transportation routes, aid is urgently needed in British Columbia to help communities recover. Emergency relief charities are already on scene providing shelter, assisting in search and recovery efforts, rescuing animals, and delivering basic necessities such as food and clean water.

Southside Church in Chilliwack  is working as the hub for all the emergency response and evacuation centres, sending helicopters and crew to locked in areas with food, water and emergency supplies.

They are receiving donations to supply the many help centres.  If you would like to make a donation please visit the website - www.southsidelife.com

The need is immediate and urgent.

Grace and peace
