Donations for the Salvation Army
Please remember to bring along any kids clothing (adults clothing also accepted) and / or non perishable food items on Sundays for the next month, as contribution to the Salvation Army food drive and our month of gratitude. Donations of cash are also gratefully accepted and can be paid using your usual tithing method, but please don't forget to clearly denote the donation for the Salvation Army food and clothing drive.
Saturday 23rd September @ 8:00pm - YKVC Outreach Ministry - Java for Jesus - will be at the 50/50 parking lot to hand out coffee and muffins, and engage with the citizens of the street. We are down one of our core group members this time and would love to see more members join us this weekend. Due to the nature of events this past 6 weeks, we expect a lot of out of towners once again, and folks that maybe haven't had someone say "how are you doing?" since returning.
Please join us handing out coffee, tea, and baked goods. If you aren't able to make it, we could always use some help with baking! We've learned that homemade muffins (especially blueberry, cranberry, and chocolate chip) are a HANDS-DOWN crowd favourite, as well as timbits! Sunday 1st October - Kingdom Kids begins for the year.
Sunday 15th October - Kick-Off Sunday marks the beginning of when the kids all move up to the next level in Kingdom Kids. There are all kinds of fun things planned for Kick-Off Sunday including snacks.
Sunday 8th October - Thanksgiving Sunday - followed by turkey and pot luck lunch. More details to follow later.
October 15th - Josh Mitton's commissioning as Worship Pastor.
December 16th - YKVC Annual Christmas dinner. 5:00pm at the United Church. More details to follow. Please save the date!
